Join our team at Studio Redivivus: Internship Opportunity in Modern Paintings

Embodying the ethos of our name, ‘Redivivus’—reborn—our studio stands at the intersection of art's past and future. We provide technical art research and conservation-restoration services at the highest standard for private collectors, gallerists, art insurers, and public institutions in the Netherlands and worldwide. With over 30 years of experience, we work on a complete range of artistic periods, using advanced technologies available to our profession. 

 

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for early modern paintings and an interest in cleaning solutions for water-sensitive artworks. This role will be based in Den Haag. The position is full time (40 hours per week) for the duration of 3 to 6 months with the possibility to extend up to a year. This opportunity is available starting in September of 2024 onwards, a later starting date can be discussed.

About the Internship: 

In this internship you will gain valuable experience while working in a major private conservation studio. The position requires good problem-solving skills and strong practical ability for carrying out painting conservation treatments as part of a team. This role will focus on the treatment of large scale paintings.

Requirements:

- Current enrollment in a master's or postgraduate program in conservation and restoration of paintings.

- Availability for at least 3-6 months, with a potential extension up to a year.

- Knowledge and experience in cleaning and restoring water-sensitive artworks.

- English proficiency is required for effective communication within the team.

- Valid EU citizenship or visa permitting work within the EU.
