We have extensive experience working in the field of scientific art analysis, with a track record of success in the support of authentication and attribution studies.
Our restorations are guided by contemporary ethical theory and underpinned by internationally recognized standards of best practice.
Meet Gwendolyn Boevé-Jones
Founder and Senior Restorer
Gwendolyn received her Master’s degree in Art History and her degree for the Conservation of Easel Paintings from the Institute of Fine Arts of the New York University, in 1991.
With over 30 years experience in conservation and restoration of paintings, she has worked for some of the most renowned museums including The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum. It was through these experiences that she gained expertise in the conservation of both modern and old master paintings.
Technological advances have been crucial to her shaping of our restoration practice. She has built Redivivus to encompass the best analytical equipment available to complement our high-quality restoration services.
She believes that technical imaging combined with close looking offers the best informed assessment of an artwork. Incorporating this with our ability to perform in-house material analysis provides an expertise that is unmatched.
