Meet Gwendolyn Boevé-Jones

Founder and Senior Restorer

Gwendolyn received her Master’s degree in Art History and her degree for the Conservation of Easel Paintings from the Institute of Fine Arts of the New York University, in 1991.

With over 30 years experience in conservation and restoration of paintings, she has worked for some of the most renouwned museums including The Rijksmuseum, Van Gough Museum, and Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum. It was through these experiences that she gained expertise in the conservation of both modern and old master paintings.

Technological advances have been crucial to her shaping of our restoration practice. She has built Redivivus to encompass the best analytical equipment available to complement our high-quality restoration services.

She believes that technical imaging combined with close looking offers the best informed assessment of an artwork. Incorporating this with our ability to perform in-house material analysis provides an expertise that is unmatched.
